2. Where do you want to run the backend?

The backend is a tiny service the app reads from. Two ways to host it:

~$2/month. Works anywhere you have internet. Easiest, and the only supported way to reach your data away from home.

Local Docker

Runs on an always-on machine at home. No monthly cost, but LAN-only — internet access is your own networking project.
