Privacy Policy

This policy covers the following apps published by Zasder Studios: Large Video Cleaner, Sideways Photo Fixer, Simple Shape Game, Zasder Weather, and Brag King (collectively, "the Apps"). Your privacy is important to us, and every app we build follows a simple principle: your data stays under your control — entirely on your device, synced through your own private iCloud, or on a backend you operate yourself.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share personally identifiable information about you. For Sideways Photo Fixer and Simple Shape Game, no data ever leaves your device. Large Video Cleaner keeps everything on your device too. For Zasder Weather, see the dedicated section below — your weather data flows only to a backend you deploy, and Zasder Studios processes only an opaque Apple-issued push token, and only if you explicitly enable background push.

Photo Library Access

Some of our Apps request access to your photo library solely to perform their core functions:

• Large Video Cleaner — displays and manages your videos so you can review and clean up large files.
• Sideways Photo Fixer — accesses your photos to detect and correct orientation issues.

The Apps do not upload or send your photos or videos anywhere. All processing happens locally on your device. If you use iCloud Photos, iOS may download a video from iCloud when you play or compress it in Large Video Cleaner, exactly as the Photos app does; that download is handled by iOS, not by the App.

Simple Shape Game does not access your photo library or any other personal data. It is a self-contained game that runs entirely on your device.

Data Storage

The Apps may store a small amount of data locally on your device using standard iOS storage:

• Identifiers for items you have already reviewed or acted on.
• Your preferences and settings.

This data never leaves your device and is automatically removed if you delete the App. (Brag King additionally syncs your scores through your own private iCloud; see the Brag King section below.)

Analytics and Tracking

Our Apps do not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking mechanisms. We do not track your usage in any way.

Third-Party Services

Sideways Photo Fixer and Simple Shape Game do not connect to any third-party services, APIs, or servers, and do not require an internet connection to function. Large Video Cleaner connects to no servers of its own or of any third party: its video features work offline for videos stored on your device. It talks only to Apple, through iOS, in two cases: if a video is stored only in iCloud, iOS downloads it when you play, compress, or share it, exactly as the Photos app does; and Apple's App Store confirms your free trial or unlock (see the Large Video Cleaner section below). Zasder Weather, as a client for personal weather stations, contacts only the backend URL you configure yourself — and, optionally, Zasder Studios' push-notification relay if you enable background push (see the Zasder Weather section below).

Large Video Cleaner (Specifically)

Large Video Cleaner scans, sorts, compresses, and trims your videos entirely on your device. To show how much space your large videos take compared with what your device has free, it reads your device's total and available storage; those figures are displayed to you and never leave the device.

In-app purchases (free trial and unlock)

Large Video Cleaner offers a free three-day trial and a one-time unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes these under its own privacy policy; the App never sees your name, email address, Apple Account, payment method, or billing address. It asks Apple only whether you have started the trial (and when), whether you own the unlock, and which version you originally downloaded, so that earlier buyers stay unlocked. It keeps that status on your device. None of this is sent to Zasder Studios.

Zasder Weather (Specifically)

Zasder Weather is a client for your personal weather station data. It does not store any weather observations on servers operated by Zasder Studios. Instead it talks to a backend you deploy yourself — typically on a small Fly.io machine or a Raspberry Pi on your home network — using the open-source server published at github.com/volneydouglas/zasder-weather-backend. The app:

• Sends your weather observation queries only to the backend URL you set in Settings.
• Stores your backend's bearer authentication token in iOS Keychain, bound to this physical device. The token never leaves the device except in the Authorization header on requests to your own backend.
• Stores display preferences (units, theme, hidden device list, supporter tier) in standard iOS UserDefaults. These never leave the device.
• Optionally uses your device's location once, and only when you tap “Use current location” while setting a station's coordinates in Settings → Devices (used for accurate sunrise, sunset, and forecast times). The coordinate is saved to your own backend as that station's location. The app does not track, monitor, or repeatedly access your location, and Zasder Studios never receives it.
• Includes no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking framework of any kind.

Background push notifications (opt-in)

You may optionally enable background push for weather alerts in Settings → Enable background push. If you do, the iOS app performs Apple's App Attest handshake and then makes two network requests beyond your own backend:

• One Apple-signed device attestation sent once to Zasder's hosted push relay at weather.zasder.com. App Attest proves to the relay that the request comes from a genuine, unmodified install of Zasder Weather on a real Apple device. It contains no information about you, your weather data, your location, or your usage.
• Your APNs device token (an opaque per-app/per-device identifier issued by Apple, not derived from any personal data) sent to your own backend via POST /api/push/register. Your backend may then forward alert payloads through Zasder's relay so push reaches your phone when the app is closed.

When an alert is delivered via the relay, the relay sees only the notification's title and body (for example, "Temperature alert", "Yard now 102°F (above 100°F)") and the destination device token. The relay does not see your weather observations, your station's location, the URL of your backend, or any contact information. The relay does not log payload contents beyond ephemeral diagnostic counts (delivered vs. failed) used to enforce per-key rate limits and to detect abuse.

You can disable background push at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Zasder Weather → Allow Notifications. If you never enable push, the app does not contact Zasder's relay at all — not once.

In-app purchases (optional tip jar)

Zasder Weather offers optional cosmetic supporter tips via Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; Zasder Studios receives only the product identifier and a verification receipt from Apple. We do not see your name, email address, payment method, billing address, or transaction identifier. No app features are gated behind these purchases — a tip simply awards a colored star and an optional decorative border on the cards.

Brag King (Specifically)

Brag King is a scorekeeper for card game nights. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind, and Zasder Studios does not collect any data from it.

• The players, game nights, and scores you enter are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database), so they can appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That data is visible only to you. Zasder Studios cannot see, access, or export it, and it never passes through any server we operate.
• If iCloud is turned off for Brag King, syncing stops on that device and new changes stay on it. Turning iCloud off does not delete data that has already synced: it remains in your private iCloud and on any other devices where iCloud is still on for Brag King. To remove that copy, see below.
• Display preferences (such as haptics and your default game) are stored in standard iOS storage on the device.
• Sharing a recap card or exporting a CSV happens only when you choose to, through the iOS share sheet, to the destination you pick.

Deleting a night or a player in the app removes it from your device and from your private iCloud. Deleting the app removes the on-device copy; any copy in your iCloud can be removed from your iCloud storage settings.

In-app purchases (free trial and Brag King Pro)

Brag King is free to download, and live scoring, history, and players are always free. A 10-day free trial of Brag King Pro starts the first time you open the app; after it ends, Stats, score import, and CSV export require a one-time Brag King Pro purchase through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy; the app never sees your name, email address, Apple Account, payment method, or billing address. It asks Apple only whether you own Brag King Pro, and tracks the trial and your Pro status on your device. None of this is sent to Zasder Studios.

Children's Privacy

Our Apps do not collect any data from any user, including children. They are safe for use by people of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since our Apps collect no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
